Zusammenfassung:	The known 2-(2-hydroxyethoxy)ethyl-N( alpha , alpha , alpha -trifluoro-m-tolyl)anthranilate is prepared by reacting N-( alpha , alpha , alpha -trifluoro-m-tolyl)anthranilic acid with an alcohol of low molecular weight in the presence of an acid catalyst, and then reacting the alkyl ester formed in this way with 2-(2-hydroxyethoxy)ethanol in the presence of a basic catalyst.
