The errors caused by any fluctuations in the constant speed of the tape are compensated. The data signals are recorded or reproduced with a time delay which is made a function of speed of the signal storage medium (15) at or immediately close to the recording or reproduction station (17, 46). There is a transducer (24) which produces a signal with a frequency proportional to the rate of storage of the data. It is passed through an inverter (29) which changes an increasing frequency into a decreasing one and vice versa. |
