Zusammenfassung:A torsion damper consists of a dished hub (1) of highly ductile material, bonded through its flange (2) to a plastic ring (5), the latter being bonded to an inertia ring (6). The damping characteristic can be controlled by setting the radial compression applied to the plastic ring (5) to a given value. To do this, the assembly is supported in a base (8), while the flange (2) is forced radially outwards by a downwards force on the mandrel (10). This expands the forming tool (9), which consists of separate triangular segments (9a) inside the dished hub (1).
