Zusammenfassung:	A hot-wire anemometer for measuring the flow velocity of gases and liquids, more particularly for the intake air of internal combustion engines, comprises one or more thermistors, of which one 1 or more are heated, the heated thermistor 1 being arranged behind a protective shield 6 as seen in the direction of flow. Preferably the protective shield 6 is an unheated thermistor and a filling 3, preferably in the form of a heat insulator, is arranged between the heated thermistor 1 and the protective shield 6. The thermistors may each consist of a thin metal layer applied to an electrically insulating support (Fig. 3).
