Zusammenfassung:	Flame retardant, mechanically stable aminoplast foam is prepd. by mixing an aq. soln. of a precondensate of a carbonyl cpd. and an amino cpd. at room temp. with an acid hardener soln. in the presence of a flame retardant and an only partially or non-flammable surfactant and simultaneously foaming with air or a gas and hardening the prod. Foam may be used in building and transport application and for insulation.
