Zusammenfassung: | The inertia mass operated seat belt retractor is fitted with an electrically operated device which puts out of action the inertia mass while the belt is put on. The belt (2) is coiled on to a spool which carries ratchet wheel (1) working together with one end (5b) of the catch lever (5) swinging about a fulcrum (8). The other end (5a) has a recess into which the upper surface of the ball-type inertia mass (6) fits. The ball rests in a nest (7) in the seating element of the retractor. The seating element is designed as a core of a magnet with a coil (10) energised by the car battery (13). The circuit also has an electric drive (11) which according to pulses from a controller (12) slides the belt anchoring point between the belt off position and the "use" position. |
