Zusammenfassung: | Polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF) moulding has a web of thermoplastics polyester nonwoven fabric, pref. with a mass/unit area of 100-300g/m2, on (pt. of) its surface, the fabric pref. being bonded homogeneously to the PVDF moulding without intermediate layer. The prod. can be thermoformed to some extent, e.g. to bubble trays for chemical plant, unlike PVDF with a glass fibre substrate, which must be welded from individual segments. Composites with a relatively thin layer of PVDF can be used, giving a saving in material cost. The interlaminar shear strength (ILSS) is higher than for PVDF-glass fabric composites. |
