Zusammenfassung:The closure element for a drink can with a tear open flap on top includes a cover which encircles the peripheral edge of the can with a clamping action. A sealing element underneath closes off the pouring opening of the can. The sealing element consists of a projection (14) formed on the plastics lid (11) and shaped to the form of the pour out opening and inserted in that opening. The lid (11) has a clamping edge (12) which encircles the whole outer edge of the can.
