Air heater for hair drier - has wanted temp. profile attained by appropriate spacing between heating wires loops

The air heater, for e.g. a hair drier, has the pitch of its meandering heating wire chosen to produce a wanted temp. distribution in the output air. For example, loops closer together at the sides than at the centre produce hotter air at the sides. The spacing between loops may be inversely proportional to air speed. In this way a uniform temp. distribution may be achieved and the heating element prevented from attaining excessively high temps. in the low air speed regions.
