Loudspeaker with multiple longitudinally aligned sections - each contg. transverse membrane and angled sound reflecting wall

Loudspeaker has a frame in which a number of membranes are supported, each membrane being connected via several sound conducting elements to an acoustical membrane drive. The loudspeaker is divided longitudinally into sections which each contain a membrane aligned in a transverse direction. Each section also contains a sound reflecting wall angled to the membrane and the surface of each membrane is small in comparison to the sound exiting surface of the section. Pref. the membranes are made of polycarbonate or Al foil. The sound conducting elements are pref. made of thin graphite fibre rods. The design avoids resonance effects and associated distortion.
