Vehicle seat belt restoring force testing appts. - uses winding system with tensioning rollers, one on arm with pointer moving over scale

The appts. for testing the restoring force of the windings of a vehicle seat belt has a motor (8) with reduction gears (7) driving a roller (6) which in conjunction with other rollers (5, 9, 13, 17) moves the belt in either direction. In one direction, the belt enters a winding device (2). The belt travels sharply downwards from a guide roller (5) above the winding device and is also looped sharply around a tensioning roller (13). This is mounted on an arm (14) pulled downwards by a spring (15). Between these rollers is a tensioning roller (9) mounted on a swinging arm (10) with a weight (11) sliding along it. This arm carries a pointer (18) which moves over an indicator scale (19).
