Zusammenfassung:	The amplifying system has two identical input-output units, acoustically coupled with the telephone network through the telephone handset. Signals are modulated by a modem operating with a carrier frequency, and received signals are demodulated. The user feeds alphanumerical signals through a keyboard, received at the receiver as a written message. Signals received from the keyboard or the modem operate through a character generator in multiplex writing needles which burn-in the characters in a metallised paper strip.
