A yarn (30) is drawn off from the spinning rotor (2). In the fibre-feed channel (21), the front part (33), the width of which is a multiple of the cross-sectional height (A), merges via the middle part (34) in the rear part (35), of which the cross-section, at least in the portion adjacent to the mouth (36) of the fibre-feed channel (21), has essentially the same weight and height (A), the cross-sectional area of the fibre-feed channel (21) either increasing from the rear separating edge (20) of this channel in the direction of its mouth (36) or remaining constant. This shaping makes it possible to increase the capacity of the spinning unit and the rotational speed of the spinning rotor (2). |
