Zusammenfassung: | A clamp for regulating flow through plastics tubing, e.g. for i.v. infusion, comprises a body with a longitudinal variable cross-section channel formed in a clamping surface, a roller wheel mounted in the body for movement parallel to the body, and raised areas on the surface to reduce tubing creep, and the tubing being clamped between wheel and surface. Undercut stepped shoulders in opposite wheel edges define recesses of width twice the tubing compressed wall thickness and of height at least twice the width so that tubing sides can migrate into the recesses without forming a side flow lumen when being clamped. The arrangement prevents increase in flow rate on inadvertent stretching of the tubing. |
