Zusammenfassung:The valve gear for multi-cylinder IC engines has a single camshaft (7) with separate cams for inlet and exhaust valves, operated desmodromically by rockers (9, 10) mounted, in reversed sequence for successive cylinders, on a spindle (8) parallel to and above the camshaft. Cam followers (15) bear against cams (16) on the side away from the valve concerned. C-shaped torsion springs (21, 22) pre-stressed towards valve closure, link the inlet rocker for one cylinder to the exhaust rocker for the next, and vice versa. The springs lie in a common plane perpendicular to that (6) through the camshaft, rocker spindle axes.
