Zusammenfassung:The tunnel kiln for firing fireproof ceramics has combustion chamber with trolley. Edges of trolley dip into water troughs for sealing. Kiln ends are sealed by water locks. Trolleys enter and leave furnace on horizontal plane without vertical movements while sealing is maintained. The troughs (8) have water tight partition walls (9, 14) at entry, exit and sides of the kiln. These walls partition the troughs in transverse directions and are able to move relative to the trolley (5). The projecting edge plates (16) of the trolley pass through these walls.
