Flexible torque transmitting coupling - has conical or frusto=conical section rubber element between coupling parts to accommodate misalignment

The flexible coupling incorporates driving and driven components and at least one ruber torque transmission body located between them. At least one of the contact surfaces between the rubber body (1) and the components (2, 3) is concave, and both contact surfaces are defined by straight lines which cut the rotary axis (9) of the coupling at a common point. At least one of the contact surfaces can be conical or frusto-conical, and the cone axis coincides with the coupling rotary axis (9). The contact surfaces can be waveformed and the peaks of adjacent waves of the counterposed contact surfaces project over the circumference centre of the rubber body.
