Electrostatic type AC generator - has sets of stator and rotor plates carrying capacitor plate pieces laminated in dielectric material

Electrostatic a.c. generator comprises a set of stator plates and a set of rotor plates both sets being arranged in the form of a laminated circuit. Each stator plate and each rotor plate carries a large number of angularly separated electrically conductive capacitor-plate pieces, such that the capacitance between the stator and the rotor capacitor-plate pieces changes many times during each rotation of the rotor plates. The capacitor-plate pieces on the stator plates and on the rotor places are laminated in an electrically insulating material (the dielectric) to form the stator or rotor plates respective, and means are provided for gas lubrication, more specif. by arranging the stator and/or the rotor plates in a spiralling line pattern.
