Zusammenfassung:	The clamping device is particularly for ribbed workpieces, having a clamping mandrel (3) with conical outer faces and and a clamping slot (16) running in the axial direction. This fits inside a housing (2) with mating internal conical faces (6a) and slots. By pulling the mandrel into the housing the rib on the workpiece is gripped in the slots. The slot in the mandrel can extend into a cylindrical base portion, where it widens, and above the base portion there can be transverse elongated holes (18) to receive a wedge (5) in mandrel and housing. The mandrel is pulled home by driving the wedge in.
