Shredder for microfilm - in which fed material is brushed shredded between cutters and profiled plate and withdrawn by fan

A machine destroys microfilms and their perforated cards into such small shreds that their data carried cannot be recovered and the shreds are throughly mixed. The machine has at least two cutters which can be moved relative to each other in a set direction until they are immediately opposite each other, each cutter being inclined along its length at an angle to that set direction. A suction fan is mounted at the outlet side of the cutter. System provides efficient, wide applicability, safe working. There is no sticking of charged particles on the wall, and several film reels can be treated at once. The cutters are pref. PTFE-coated.
