Program-controlled dosing unit for additives in dishwashers - has supply mechanism inside supply container with opening into wash chamber

The automatic dosing mechanism for supplying controlled amounts of powdered additives to the water in dishwasher machines comprises a supply container (1) for the additives which has a supply mechanism (6, 7, 8) for feeding the additives (2) to the outlet (4) of the container which opens into the inside of the machine. The drive (9) for this supply mechanism can be actuated by a program control unit so as only to supply measured amounts. The supply mechanism can include a pulverising unit which breaks down any lumps likely to build up. The supply container itself is pref. a cylindrical pot (1) with an opening (4) in the base forming the outlet to the inside of the machine. Enough additives can be stored for several doses.
