Zusammenfassung: | The remote control and telemetry system for pilotless test aircraft is esp. designed for scale-model flying test beds and comprises a computer-based monitoring system in the aircraft (3) with numerous sensors at strategic points (2). The data is received from the aircraft at a ground receiver and distributed to analysers and a central controller. The output of the controller is taken to a data processor for controlling a transmitter. The control signals are received in the aircraft and translated for use in the servomechanisms (9) on board. A programmable controller in the ground station makes it possible to control essential manoeuvres, such as take-off and landing, separately from other operations. An emergency landing procedure, in the case of mishap, can be built into the programme. Acquired data from the aircraft can be stored in a memory for further evaluation. |
