Zusammenfassung:	Method of embossing decorative board includes wetting the entire surface and pressing with a contoured embossing slate at 1000 (1500-5000) psi and 400 degrees - 550 degrees F for a time pref. 1-60 secs. to permanently reshape the surface. The inter fibre bonds established in initial consolidation are realigned to set the surface of the board permanently so that very little spring back occurs.
