Zusammenfassung:Triazolo-thieno-1,4-diazepins of formula (I) and their acid-addn. salts are new (where R2 is H, Cl or Br; R3 is Cl, Br, -OMe, 3-6C cycloalkyl, 5-6 membered satd. or unsatd. ring contg. O, S or N; or when R2 is H or Br, R3 may be Me). (I) are anxiolytic and sedative agents. A typical cpd., 8-iodo-1-cyclohexyl-6-(2-chlorophenyl)-4H-s-triazolo 3,4-c thieno- 2,3-e -1,4-diazepin, was prepd. by treating 8-iodo-6-(2chlorophenyl)-1-cyclohexylthieno 2,3-f -tri-azolo 3,4-- a -4,1-oxazepin in conc. Hbr with NH3, treating the prod. with SOCl2 themn NH4OH and KMnO4.
