Zusammenfassung:	A herbidice which will selectively attack weeds in presence of beet contains 2-ethyl-6-methyl-N-(1-methyl-2-methoxyethyl)-chloroacetanilide (I) and 3-methyl-4-amino-5-H-6-phenyl-1,2,4-trazin-5-one (II), in wt. ratio 8:1-1:8, pref. 3:1-1:3, most pref. 1:1. The combination of (I) and (II) produces a synergistic effect increasing both the effectiveness and range of activity of the cpds. The combn. attacks all weeds associated with beet, without affecting the beet (Beta 8;pp.). (I) and (II) are effective against monocotyledons e.g. Alopecurus.
