Zusammenfassung:	The reaction of metallic tin with hydrogen halide and olefin compound gives organo-tin halides which consist at least partially of organo-tin dihalide and may contain the corresponding organo-tin trihalide. The organo-tin halides obtained can be reacted in a manner known per se with appropriate organic acids or mercaptans or with their derivatives capable of reacting with halogen, to give stabilizer preparations for polymers such as polyvinyl chloride.
