Zusammenfassung: | Machine consists of a frame on which are mounted roll stands, each having two shafts the free ends of which carry the tolls. The material to be rolled is fed to the rolls by a pusher device and a conveyor which is connected to one of the shafts and has a pulling device. The machine also has with a workpiece clamp, a ram for pushing the workpiece into the feed device, and a braking arrangement in front of the rolls. The braking arrangement includes a spring-biased element mounted above the feed device. The clamp is mounted behind the rolls and ensures that the starting position of the ram in front of the braking arrangement is constant. Esp. for prodn. of blanks for mass prodn. forging operations. The arrangement prevents premature entry of workpieces into the roll gap, and allows the total roll surface to be used for shaping the workpieces. |
