Zusammenfassung:Prepn. of (co)oligomers of olefins comprises reaction in paraffins at 80-250 degrees (100-200) degrees C under 20-250(100-170) atmos. in presence of a catalysts made by reaction of Al with CCl4 in wt. ratio 1:0.05-1 (1:0.05:0.1) in paraffin hydrocarbon medium. Consumption of catalyst is only 1% based on the product against 5% for the usual catalyst (anhydrous AlCl3). The catalyst is stable, non-hygroscopic and easily prepared and stored.
