Zusammenfassung:A gp. of four regenerative blast heaters are alternately operated for a blast furnace, where one heater(a) is driven at full blast during the middle of the blow, and another (b) is driven in a choked condition at the beginning or end of the blast. The amt. of hot gas for reheating heater(a) is computed by continuous monitoring of total heat removal (QG) from the gp., via. the total vol. (VKWG), temp. (TKW) and humidity(FKW) of the cold wind (KW); and the temp (TMW) of the hot wind. Heat removed from heater(a), viz. QC is continuously monitored via VKWC; TKW; and FKW of the cold wind fed to heater(a); and the temp.(THWC) of the hot wind removed from heater(a). The difference QG - QC = Q1 is calculated, where Q1 is the heat removed from heater(b). The values QC and Q1 are continuously integrated for each heater during the blast period. Computer-controlled operation of the blast heaters which allows for the relatively high and low temps. at the beginning and end of the blast supplied by each of the four heaters.
