Zusammenfassung:Potash seam heading machine direction control uses reflected light which is scanned (14) between lens (5) and resistance (6) cell pref. as coupled to a divider (18). Scanner and divider are controlled by a synchroniser (21) and the divider output should link to an on-line store (22) and comparator for the reflected light pulses. The store output (22) should link up with the colour mismatch comparator (25) checking the pulse mismatch with the preset mismatch given for these particular seams. The mismatch comparator should connect to a machine deviation measuring block (30) via the lens (5) adjuster (27) and the measuring block connects to unit (31) which compare the deviation with permitted limits and feeds the result to a machine command block (32).
