Zusammenfassung:The induction pipe (1) is of aluminium and provided with an exhaust gas heat transfer surface (4). The heat transfer surface is a steel plate whose edges are joined to the aluminium induction pipe by a process in which an iron aluminium layer (Fi2 A15) is formed on the steel plate to join he aluminium alloy in the induction pipe. The exhaust pipe (3) is then joined to the steel plate edge by means of a flange (5) and a heat resisting gasket.
