The quartz watch with an analogue display, driven via a stepping motor, has a quartz oscillator (1), with a frequency of 32768 Hertz. coupled to an adjustable frequency divider (2). The quartz oscillator (1) and the frequency divider (2) are coupled to respective inputs of a logic circuit (3), providing an output with a frequency of 17476 Hertz, supplied to a further fixed frequency divider (6). This supplies an output frequency of 1/60 Hertz or a related binary frequency. The fixed frequency divider (6) has an intermediate output, which is coupled to the end stage of the frequency divider.
