Zusammenfassung:	Flameproofing agents for polyesters consist of oxalic acid complexes. The anion is pref. of formula: /ZC2Q4)n / Z is one or more central atoms and n is the no. of ligands Z is pref. >=1 of Mg, Ca, Sr, Ba, Zr, Hf, Ce, V, Cr, Mn, Fe, Co, Ni, Cu, Zn, Cd, B, Al, Ga, In, Sn, Pb or Sb. The cationic component of the complex is pref. Li, Na, K, Rb, Cs or NH4 or one of these and Ba. The cpds. are esp. useful for treating polyethylene terephthalate, polypropylene, terephthalate or polybutylene terephthalate. Pref. 1-40 wt.%, esp. 5-15 wt.% of complex is used. The cpds. have better flameproofing effect than known prods. and are not harmful to skin when used in textiles.
