1495098 Refrigerating STAL REFRIGERATION AB 13 May 1976 [10 June 1975] 19854/76 Heading F4H A refrigeration plant comprises evaporators 5A, 5B located in separate chambers 6A, 6B, e.g. cold rooms in a ship, and a common compressor 1 and condenser 3 for supplying refrigerant to the evaporators through lines 4A, 4B provided with solenoid valves 10A, 10B and expansion valves 11A, 11B. The valves 10A, 10B are controlled by temperature regulators 7A, 7B connected to sensors 8A, 8B and to a central electronic control unit 9. The control unit 9 operates such that each valve 10A, 10B is opened and closed when the temperature in the chamber 6A, 6B containing the evaporator 5A, 5B associated with the valve reaches preset upper and lower values. In addition, each closed valve associated with a chamber at a temperature above the preset lower value is opened when a valve is opened in response to the temperature of its associated chamber reaching the preset upper value for that chamber, whereby the load on the compressor becomes more even. The compressor 1 is driven by a motor 12 which is stopped when the pressure in the suction line 2 drops below a predetermined value.
