Cold store fire protection installation - has corrugated sheets on insulation with corrugated ducts connected to fire fighting plant

Fire protection installation to eliminate fire hazards on flammable thermal insulations used on walls of cold store. The walls of the cold store room consist of a smooth inside finish (3) glued to the thermal insulation (2) of plastic foam and on the outside with a corrugated metal sheet cladding (1). The cladding creates a number of vertical ducts (4) of trapezoidal cross section with bases of the trapezoids (5) fixed to the outside surface of the thermal insulation. The vertical duct systems connect at top and bottom to horizontal box sections (11) and (12) acting as distributing headers for an automatic fire fighting installation. The supply piping (8) of the fire fighting installation is connected at one or several points to the header, which on the side adjacent to the vertical duct is fitted with a number of fire fighting nozzles (6) at the bottom and (6a) top. The top part of the header is also fitted with fire detecting sensors (16).
