Zusammenfassung: | Object position and movement are measured w.r.t. a measurement system. The device has a light source and a detector consisting of two adjacent photodiodes. Light source (3) irradiates as evenly as possible a constant width slot in a diaphragm (5), rigidly connected either with the object (2) or with the measurement system (1). In the latter case light is reflected from the object (2) or from a mirror (7) mounted on it. Light is then focussed by lenses (8) on the detector (4), and the objects position is derived from the ratio between the sum and difference of photocurrents delivered by the detector (4) photodiodes. |
