Inflatable air mattress for bed ridden people - includes several easily interchangeable air sacks mounted on retaining members with air supply

The inflatable bed or mattress, partic. of use to bed-ridden people in hospitals etc. comprises several inflatable elongated sacks (2) which are mounted transversely to the bed attached to pref hollow retaining members (4) which extend parallel to and beneath the sacks. Air is supplied to the sacks through the retaining members pref. by a hole (19) in the base of each sack and a corresp. hole (9) in the retaining member. The material surrounding each hole in the base of the sack is held in sealing connection with the retaining member by the press. of the air inside the sack. The sacks are secured against the retaining members by suitable strips or webs (18) so that it is possible to bend the sacks relative to the retaining members whilst at the same time maintaining the air-tight connection between the sacks and the retaining members.
