Zusammenfassung: | The invention applies to a steel or cast-iron pipe (1) which is lined with mortar or cement (2). An inner layer of an organic-polymer material (3) is provided with a number of equally spaced radial projections (4) with bulbous tips which are embedded in the layer of morter. When the morter is hardened, the polymer is held firmly in position and protects the steel from corrosion or incrustation. The projections (4) also help in centering the liner (3) when it is being installed in the pipe (1). This method of installing the liner is relatively cheap and prevents the reduction in effective bore size due to the build-up of incrustation. |
