Zusammenfassung:	An installation frame (14) for pipe laying in an open ditch has a box-shaped support chamber (14-16) which locates the pipe section (10) about to be installed. The base plate (23) of the support frame carries pipe location cradles (41, 42) which are equipped with rollers. Hydraulic cylinders (44) located between the cradle frame and the base plane, are used to position the pipe sections (10) at the same level as the pipe previously installed. When the correct location is reached, hydraulic pusher cylinders apply an axial force on the pipe section so that the pipe moves on the roller cradle to its final position.
