Zusammenfassung: | Method for mfg. doors and windows with double glazing units is carried out by inserting between two opposed panes an elastic sealing frame which is compressed by applying compressive force to the panes. The window frame is then formed at the edges of the panes by casting a composn., pref. one with low viscosity and low shrinkage on solidification e.g. polyamide, in a mould. When this has solidified, the pressure on the panes is released so that, due to the return force of the sealing frame, a sealing bond is formed between the window frame and those parts of the panes and sealing frame surrounded by the compsn. Pref. the mould consists of upper and lower halves, and pressing appts. is used to compress the panes before casting. |
