Zusammenfassung:	Soap compsns. based on alkali metal soaps of fatty acids contain 2-10 wt.% of telomers (derived from mercaptans and (meth)acrylamide) of formula (I): (where R is 8-18C aliphatic hydrocarbyl; X is H or Me; m = 6-20). The base soap is pref. an Na soap of tallow and coconut fatty acids with a tallow/coconut ratio between 85:15 and 40:60. The compsns. are esp. useful as toilet soaps. The telomers inhibit flocculation of Ca and MG soaps when the compsns. are used in hard water.
