Spreader for grinding grit - has grit carried in fluid suspension deposited on carrier disc to form even layer

The suspension of grinding material is mixed in a beaker (5) which is placed on one of the planet wheels (4) driven by a gear rim (1) in a mixing arrangement. The suspension consists of ethanol in which grains of binding material and grinding grit are evenly distributed. The amount of mixture required is removed from the beaker with a pipette and deposited on a disc on which it flows without flowing over the edge. The ethanol evaporates and leaves an even layer of grinding material on the disc. The layer is transferred to the carrier for the grinding material by pressing the c arrier against the disc.
