Zusammenfassung:	Synthetic foam, in the form of a continuous hands and similar flexible materials from a reel, is drawn by mechanical means through the gap between the upper moving knife a and the fixed knife on the worktable, from the side of the shear farthest from the reel, to the length required for cutting. This ensures that uniform lengths of delicate material can be cut off accurately and consistently. The worktable positioned behind the knife can be lifted so that the material is raised clear of the lower knife, leaving plenty of room for the clamp to grip the material edge.
