Zusammenfassung: | The aim of the invention is to spread over as wide an area as possible the force which a car seat harness can exert on its wearer in a crash, so as to reduce the risk of injury from the tension of a comparatively narrow belt. The usual two belts are replaced by a triangular net, anchored at three points and feeding, if desired, into an inertial roller. The net covers the whole of the wearer's shoulders, (so reducing the risk to his collar bone), and is kept spread in this area by a short rod near the shoulder fastening. Since the net spreads the force over and wide area of the body, it can be made of a more elastic material than is needed for the usual belts. |
