Zusammenfassung:	Photographic gelatin-hardening process takes place by reacting the gelatin with a new hardener cpd. contg. an aliphatic hydrocarbon gp. with >=3 attached vinyl-sulphonyl gps. pref. having formula R(SO2CH=CH2)n (I) (where R is an opt. substd. n-valent aliphatic hydrocarbon gp. and n is integer >=3). Used with a photographic element contg. a carrier and >=1 applied gelatin-contg. layer, for black and white, colour- and pseudo-colour photographic materials and copying, X-ray and radiation-sensitive materials. Physical properties of gelatin-contg. layer are improved without impairing photographic properties.
