Toilet pan hygiene maintenance device - has shell type insert to catch faecal matter before operation of flush

A device for maintaining toilet pans in a clean and hygienic condition is constructed with a shell type insert (1) which fits within the toilet pan (13) and catches faecal matter. The shell type insert (1) is laid onto and supported by the floor of the toilet pan (2) and the faecal matter etc. is flushed away from its surface by the normal operation of the toilet flushing system. The insert (1) can be produced from a water-resistant paper or other material and is of oral section with raised edges. The insert is pressed into place using a shaft with a rubber spherical insert on one end.
