Zusammenfassung: | A brush having thermoplastics bristle tufts is mfd. by heating the tufts at that end where they are to be fastened into a brush body, to at least softening temp. and exerting axial press. so as to deform them and causing the bristle ends to coalesce, and then inserting the bristle tufts into the body of a brush. The bristle tufts are securely fastened to the body of the brush but may still be removed and replaced when worn down. At the bristle ends are being heated to melting temp. a connecting tape is formed for the resulting melt. The tufts may be deformed in such a way that a 'head' is formed. |
