Zusammenfassung: | The floor of the open plan bus is provided with a series of transverse guide rails (4) under the floor line. Each rail is fitted with a set of clamps (7) which secure the wheelchair frame and prevent the chair from moving while in transit. The clamps slide in the rails when not in use and can thus be slid to one side of the vehicle to improve access. When the clamps are set against the inside of the wheelchair wheels they are locked to the rail, while at the same time a clamping jaw (29) locks onto the wheelchair frame. The clamps operate rapidly and with little manual effort. |
