Zusammenfassung:The water heater comprises a vessel with a heating element having a heat dissipating surround mounted with a sealed-off section. This surround (10) completely surrounds the heating element to protect it. The surround is made of thin sheet metal and is disposable when furred up. This obviates the necessity for any other defurring operations. The surround has a heat flow surface mounted in the heat distribution or evolution surface. The heat surface is compressed by elastic deformation of the surround (10) to bring it into flat, efficient contact with the necessary stability.
