Zusammenfassung:	Chocolate slabs or bars are supplied individually and continuously to a wrapping station and are surrounded therein with a first packaging wrapper. In a subsequent folding station, these partially packaged slabs or bars are folded by enveloping into a wrapping blank of a second packaging wrapper. The wrapping station is formed by a tube-packaging device (5) which has a tube shaper (6) and through which the slabs or bars (1) run continuously. This is followed by a longitudinal-seam closing device and a cross-cutting device (23) for the tube which wraps the slabs or bars. There follows a take-over device (24) which transfers the slabs or bars aligned on a conveyor band, together with a wrapping blank, to the folding station (32) in a constant cycle. As a result of the two-stage packaging, contact of the chocolate with the outer paper wrapper is avoided.
